As much as I love playing this game, I often remember that this is not reality. That any reward gained within this world means absolutely nothing in our own.
Why do we do things that give us no material gain? It’s fun, yeah, but I can’t help but think that my time would be better spent doing something else.

I feel that by wearing a suit and attending an interview at a bank, I’m becoming everything I despise.
A tool. A nobody being controlled and drained of all life merely for a few shiny coins.
A pawn in a very elaborate, backstabbing game of chess where the only winner is a fat cat with a cigar.
I may just not bother.

The depressing part of Avatar was not because I wished I was part of their world, but because human greed to such extents is real and is all around us. The film is a huge dig at the Iraq situation and merely showcases our naivety to nature and its surroundings.
We will stop at nothing to get what we want, be it money or a new product. Even if destroying other living things is required.
